I AM

I am a curious girl.
I wonder about what is ahead.
I hear friends and family reminding me I can do anything I want if I set my heart to it.
I see people who struggle, and people who make it every day.
I want to be that person who makes it.

I pretend that everything is perfect, the way I want it to be, but
I feel if I tried that much harder; it would have been that much better.
I touch the fact that no matter what, God loves me.
I worry about letting someone down, or failing.
I cry because I know people are dying tonight.
I am a curious girl.

I understand that when I wake up in the morning, my day depends on what I make it to be.
I say not enough.
I dream about someday being a doctor.
I try to be that kind person who helps others, and
I only hope for the best.
